Destruction
A reminder for Believers
And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!.” (Matthew 7:23). Aside from the discernible transgressions, in a world full of distractions, from smartphones to tv shows, all the enemy has to do is employ these as weapons of destruction. That’s all it takes to be separated from the presence of God… for eternity. Don’t grow passive. Stay alert and remain steadfast in the faith.
2 Corinthians 13:5: Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you are disqualified.
A word for the Unbelievers
2 Peter 3:9 states that in the last days men will mockingly question the Lord's return. But scripture attributes God's mercy and His longsuffering towards men as the reason for the perceived delay. 1 Timothy 2:4, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Scripture pointedly expresses God’s desire for us to know Him. Yet altering God’s Word has serious consequences. “And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:19). I could write a book as extensive as the Bible itself, and it wouldn’t place a dent in the belief of a person who firmly rejects the existence of eternal destruction. Hell was never reserved for humans because humans in their own strength were never capable of the wickedness deserving of the eternal hell fire. That is the cruel irony. Sin gave way for the enemy to step in and take possession of what rightfully belonged to God (1 Corinthians 6:19) and used them for destruction which eventually led them to destruction. But “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Hebrews 3:15).
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
